Why Me? — A Poem

Every human being will at one point or the other experience life’s uncertainties, unfulfilled promises, unpleasant situations, unfair treatments and undeserved pains.

The world is wired to give us roses with thorns, sunshine and rain, and a fair share of losses and gains. We must learn to find the blessings and lessons in every season of life.

We should not be quick to accuse God when bad things happen and then forget to acknowledge Him when we experience beautiful things. I hope this poem speaks to your soul.

If you have to ask “Why me?”
When it seems God can’t hear your plea,
When secret storms won’t let you be,
And haunting shadows are all you see.

When your jar of joy runs dry
And no one seems to hear your cry.
When funds are low and debts are high,
And you can only look down and sigh.

When the skies pour fiery raindrops,
And your field is full of dying crops.
When everything you hold dear flops
And your eyes brew bitter teardrops.

When you lay hopeless on a cold bed,
And it’s hard to see what lies ahead.
When you’ve forgotten what God said,
And needless noises fill your head.

When you seem not to have a lifeline,
And your noble dreams do not align.
When the twilight stars refuse to shine
And you are left without a positive sign…

Then, when God finally comes through,
When His countenance shines on you,
And He prepares a table before you,
will you be bold to ask “Why me” too?

Your pain has a purpose, my friend,
even if it’s hard for you to comprehend.
Trust the process, never condescend,
God is merciful and faithful to the end.

God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done. Numbers 23: 19 (Good News Translation)

The Frequency of Faith

When last did you read or listen to a ‘breaking news’ that broke your heart? Let me guess, some minutes ago, right?
I know that times seem to have changed without giving us a heads up, and our world is fast becoming somewhat strange. But maybe we all need to tune to a better broadcasting station void of negative news and repulsive reports.

In our world today, as nations fight against nations, economic instability seems to be at war with emotional stability. As funds are dropping, faith seems to be declining too. As debts are increasing, despair seems to be rising too. Wars and rumours of war are raging against global and personal peace.

But in all these, we all must strive to stay sane, safe and strong – a victory we must all win against all horrible happenings and negative news.
We must never lose heart. We must never settle for less. We must never settle for the lies of the devil.

In every trial and tribulation, the truth still holds, “we are more than conquerors” Romans 8: 37.
God has better broadcasting stations. It’s time to tune in to divine frequencies. It’s time to get back on the ‘Track of Truth’, and take back our peace. We must not let situations shut us out of the frequency of faith, hope and joy. We all need help. We all need hope and, no doubt, our world needs healing.

I would have loved to write another epic epistle to you but I would like you to declare this affirmation over yourself. Say this affirmation.

I am constantly connected to the frequency of faith, favour and freedom in Christ.
I shut down the frequency of fear, failure and frustration.
I only hear sounds of peace, hope and overflowing joy.
I shut down the waves of worry, weakness and weariness.
The troubles and trials of life will not tear my soul apart.
I rise above past pains and the pressures of life.
I dwell daily in love, light and limitless possibilities.
My jar of joy will not run dry.
My pool of peace flows freely always.
The storms and struggles of life will not keep me stuck in the pit of pain.
I rise above the rage of rejection and resentment.
I have an Anchor who keeps my soul steadfast.
God is the author and anchor of my life.
I am forgiven, favoured and fortified.
I am free to love, laugh and live my best life, no matter what is going on around me.
I am free indeed.

You Deserve Legendary Love

You are worthy of legendary love
the kind of love that heals you completely
love, like the balm flowing from God’s palms
the kind of love that soothes your soul
love like the rhythms of sacred psalms
the kind of love that drains your pains.

You are worthy of limitless love
the kind of love that fills you up genuinely
love like an ever-flowing fountain
the kind of love that empowers you to excel
love so full, free and fathomless
the kind of love that leaves sages speechless.

You are worthy of luminous love,
the kind of love that ignites you intentionally
love so fresh like well-watered gardens
the kind of love that spurs you to sparkle
love glowing like golden galaxies
the kind of love that makes stars stand and stare.

The Faithful God

Oftentimes, the challenges of life shake the foundations of our faith so much that we tend to forget who God is, what He has said, what He can do, and who we are to God.

The moment we begin to doubt the integrity, ability, and sovereignty of God, then, discouragement, despair, and darkness begin to set in.

We need to constantly remember the person, the power, and the promises of God if we must sail through storms seasons without drowning.

If our faith does not fail, we will eventually prevail.

Faith is the key to unlocking the victories given to us by God. Our faith flourishes when we focus on the presence of God amid pain and pressure.

God sometimes permits pain and pressure to promote and protect us. It takes crushing and pressing to produce new wine. God will use whatever the enemy designed against us for our good and His glory.

My dear friends, today, be reminded of these timeless truths…

God is too faithful to fail you.
God is too merciful to forsake you.
God is too mindful to forget you.
God is too powerful to be defeated.
God is too wonderful to be limited.
God is too beautiful to be degraded.
This great God lives in you and loves you recklessly.

Scripture Reference. Isaiah 41:10-13 ESV

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

In knowing these, be encouraged.

I Don’t Chase Love – A Poem.

I don’t chase love,
since the day I chose life,
love has been chasing me down.
He lights up shadows,
kicks down barricades,
tears down contentions,
walks on stormy seas,
and climb up ageless hills
coming after me.
In Love, I live.
In Love, I move,
and have my being.
Why should I chase the Love
that lives in me.

Love is my nature,
Love is my culture,
Love is my life,
I don’t chase my life.
The equation is simple,
God is love,
God is life, I have God,
I have love, I have life.
Love loves me.
I don’t chase love.
I just choose life.

Two questions: 😁🥰What’s your take on chasing love?
What’s your plan for valentine’s day?

Scripture References: Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. I John 4:8.

5 Keys To Unlock 2022 Possibilities

Every season comes with lessons and blessings. Only those who have the right keys can unlock the blessings and understand the lessons.

Join me to explore the 5 keys to unlock the possibilities of 2022.

1. Positive Imagination.
Winning begins within. A conquered mind cannot produce a triumphant life. If your mind can conceive a thing, and your heart can believe it, then you can achieve it. Train and transform your mind to command victory.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 4:23 NIV

2. Profitable association.
If your closest friends are winners, you will constantly inspired and empowered to win. Show me your friends and I will show you your fortune. Invest in robust and resourceful relationships.

Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
Proverbs 13:20 NIV

3. Positive actions.
Being kind to others helps you to win the heart of God and men. Generosity is one of the keys to a fruitful and filling life. The hallmark of prosperity is generosity.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16 NIV

4. Valuable information.
The kind of information you are exposed to will either empower you to win and enslave you. When you know better, you become better and do better. Deeper knowledge unlocks higher dimensions of success.

Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.
Proverbs 4:5 NIV

5. Your Confession.
Watch your words, they shape your world. Words build. Words destroy. Words transform. Words deform. The wonders of the world are created by words. The words you deploy will determine the wonders you will enjoy.

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 NIV.

This is the year you must intentionally study the Word of God, stay in the word, stand on the word, speak the word, and spread the word.

Hidden Tears of Hurting Years

God of my untold stories,
Thank you for bringing me this far.
God of my unseen victories,
Thank you for healing every scar.

God of my waiting years,
Thank you for your matchless grace.
God of my hidden tears,
Thank you for your warm embrace.

God of my hard-learned lessons,
Thank you for your will and wisdom.
God of my sweetest seasons,
Thank you for this faith and freedom.

For the blessings eyes cannot see,
I am forever grateful.
For the precious blood that set me free,
I am more than thankful.

A few months ago, I went through a severe storm that almost made me drown in depression again.

What kept me afloat was the last strand of my faith in God. I have lost many friends in the process, I felt completely lost and lonely. I became weak and weary. I kept my eyes on mountain tops even in the darkest rock bottom.

Life became a dark tale of pain and pressure but through it all, I held onto God, He kept me safe and made me sail through without losing my joy. In the midst of it all, His love became more real to me, His light guided me, and His joy was my strength. I am still healing. I am still believing in God for total restoration. My faith still stands in the deep.

In all of this, I have learned to be thankful even when I’m going through hell and high water. God knows, God sees, God hears. Thank you for reading.

Be encouraged my friends. Praise Him even in your pains.

Without You – A Poem

What is royalty without honour?
What is a heart without a beat?
What is summer with heat?
What am I without You?

Who am I without You?

What is a guitar without strings?
What is a home without harmony?

Who am I without You?

The Beauty of Death – A Poem

From an unseen womb
to an unknown tomb.
Life happens in diverse phases.
We love life and hate death
because we hold life as an adorable lie
and see death as a horrible truth.
Yet, death is not the opposite of life,
but the opportunity to live again.
Death is not a debt we pay,
It is a gift – the medal for mortality.
Death can be beautiful,
it is the passport to eternity.
Death can be fruitful,
a buried seed births fresh fruits.
Death is a means of transformation.
It is a necessary ending that births
mysterious new beginnings.
We don’t have one life to live,
we are born again every day.
We don’t have one death to die,
we rise out of the ashes every morn.
A new life sprouts at dawn
and death births the afterlife.
Death is bliss, death is a blessing,
death is fragrant, death is freedom.

Seeds and Struggles

Hello friends, it’s been a while. I trust you all are doing great. I’ve been in the valley of decision and transition for a while. I’m believing God for more opportunities to share great contents here soonest.

I was inspired to share some lessons I have learnt in the valley of decisions earlier today. I am sure we all have some hard-learned lessons and hard-earned blessings in our darkest hours.

I have come to realise that most times, the people with the sweetest smiles and biggest blessings in public are those who have shed a million tears and made hard choices secretly.

A friend shot this on Sunday. 🥰🥰🥰

Before we covet people’s fruit we must seek to know the kind of seed, seasons and struggles that produced their harvest. Great harvests don’t just happen. Some folks go through hell and high water before occupying their place in grace.

Some blessings are not just answered prayers or products of ‘grace’ (luck), they are rewards of strenuous sacrifices and hard choices.

God is a God of principles, you can’t manipulate Him with prayers. Some things are activated with strict obedience, diligence and resilience.

This does not mean that prayer is not necessary, in fact, prayer supplies the strength l, wisdom and grace required to sustain the blessings of God.

However, we must embrace the wisdom to combine prayer, faith and action in the right proportion. In knowing this, be encouraged and empowered to excel. I would like to share one of my anchor-scriptures with you.

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 1 Peter 5:10

Shalom.
