You Deserve Legendary Love

You are worthy of legendary love
the kind of love that heals you completely
love, like the balm flowing from God’s palms
the kind of love that soothes your soul
love like the rhythms of sacred psalms
the kind of love that drains your pains.

You are worthy of limitless love
the kind of love that fills you up genuinely
love like an ever-flowing fountain
the kind of love that empowers you to excel
love so full, free and fathomless
the kind of love that leaves sages speechless.

You are worthy of luminous love,
the kind of love that ignites you intentionally
love so fresh like well-watered gardens
the kind of love that spurs you to sparkle
love glowing like golden galaxies
the kind of love that makes stars stand and stare.

I Don’t Chase Love – A Poem.

I don’t chase love,
since the day I chose life,
love has been chasing me down.
He lights up shadows,
kicks down barricades,
tears down contentions,
walks on stormy seas,
and climb up ageless hills
coming after me.
In Love, I live.
In Love, I move,
and have my being.
Why should I chase the Love
that lives in me.

Love is my nature,
Love is my culture,
Love is my life,
I don’t chase my life.
The equation is simple,
God is love,
God is life, I have God,
I have love, I have life.
Love loves me.
I don’t chase love.
I just choose life.

21 Lessons of 2021

2021 is a year I would consider a defining year for me. I started the year as a homeless and broken man striving to find hope, help, and healing. I went through diverse floods and flames.

At a particular point, I was visiting the hospital frequently till medical bills drained me financially, but through it all, God remained faithful. I lost some vital relationships but I found God in my darkest season, and He introduced me to my true self.

The crushing and pressing of 2021 made me a new wine. I rose from the ashes as pure gold. All thanks to God and the friends who were able to hear the echoes of my silence.

Here are some of the lessons I learned the hard way…

1. Rock bottom is a place of deep discovery and real recovery.

2. Sometimes you feel lost and lonely because God wants you to see Him as your one and only.

3. Be happy to miss those who make your life miserable. Be glad that they showed you that you deserve better.

4. Isolation is one of the greatest preparation for divine manifestation. A seed is buried before it blooms.

5. Sometimes, God allows enemies to surround you because He wants to prepare a table before you in their presence. Don’t focus on the troubles of life, look forward to the ‘table of triumph’.

6. God will sometimes set your comfort zone ablaze so you can move to a growth zone.

7. There is a time to give up, and there is a time to get up and grow up. Giving up is good when it’s done at the right time. We enjoy new beginnings when we enforce necessary endings.

8. Quit! Quit paying attention to the things draining your peace and joy.

9. Two people you must avoid: the people you cannot help and those that can’t help you become a better person. (This has nothing to do with material gains)

10. God can restore wasted years and wipe away fiery tears.

11. Don’t rush into relationships, don’t force friendships. Build yourself to attract valuable and vibrant relationships.

12. Be valuable enough to stand alone. Be responsible enough to attract support.

14. Every season comes with lessons and blessings. Gratitude gives you access to blessings while positive attitude helps you maximize the lessons in every season.

15. Your darkest season may be preparing for your brightest sparkle.

17. You can’t pray away certain pains when you a pregnant with purpose. Prayer will only give you the peace and patience to grow through the painful process.

18. A prosperous life starts with a positive and productive mind.

19. No one owes you anything. You owe yourself everything. Keep growing till you become a magnet of resourceful relationships.

20. You are made to manifest but there are times you need to be hidden in the place of preparation.

21. Your words shape your world. Don’t declare defeat when the fight is still on.
Win with words.

Tell Your Tough Tales – A Poem

You are not a survivor but a victor,
dare to approve and applaud yourself,
amplify your wins and not your woes.
Tell your tough tales with grit and grace…
see your scars as signatures of victory.
Life got you bent, broken and buried,
yet you thrived through hell and high water,
and turned graves into golden gardens.
You are not a survivor but a victor,
bask in your victory, own your story.

Revenge and Recovery

A man who keeps walking back to an ugly past should not expect to arrive at a beautiful future.

Life is a perfect place for imperfect people. No matter how loving and caring we are, we sometimes hurt ourselves knowingly or unknowingly.

Some offences are forgivable while some seem to be unforgivable in magnitude. Their impact can be devastating and life-threatening. However, love is still the answer to the questions of every broken heart.

We don’t have to forgive everyone who wrongs us but we need to give ourselves the freedom to live and love again – this is only possible when we forgive. The fact that someone hurt us should not make us stop living our best life.

An offence should not automatically become a death sentence to the offended person.

Some people do not deserve our forgiveness for what they’ve said or done. But if we desire to live in peace and joy, we must choose to make our hearts a paradise where love reigns, and not a prison where we nurse negative emotions.

Don’t stop living your best life because of your worst experience. A flower does not stop blooming because it is planted in dirty soil. Find healing in that hurt. Find meaning in that mess.

Stop cheating yourself, and stop allowing your emotions to cheat you. The time you are using to replay the terrible experiences you’ve had with people can be used to rebuild your life. The time you are using to plan revenge can be used to seek genuine recovery and restoration.

Revenge can bring a false feeling of relief but it will never guarantee complete freedom from pain. Revenge often creates two damaged losers, no one wins eventually. There is no point in being even with an evil person.

Shun the desire to have a tie with a terrible person. Play a better game, win with love. If revenge will bring you recovery, go for it. I just know that you don’t cure headaches by hitting your head hard.

Revenge creates a cycle of rage and resentment while forgiveness creates a fountain of freedom and fulfilment. The choice is yours.

Forgiveness is sometimes a hard choice to make when the wound is still fresh and painful, but with patience, prayers and intentional pursuit of peace, it becomes easier to forgive.

Today, submit your heart to God in prayers, seek His love and let Him take care of the pains that time can not heal. Seek counselling and therapy if need be. Don’t keep sinking in self-pity and hopelessness. There is more for your life.

Finally, remember that looking good, living a better life and loving yourself more is the best revenge. Seek the best revenge!

Hey friends, I have not been publishing my writings for a while because I’ve been recuperating and I’m in a process of career transition. I missed you all.

You Are a Mortal Miracle

With all the pains and devastating experiences going on in the world, it is now easier to drift into discouragement. A lot of folks feel lost and lonely. Secret tears and valid fears have overwhelmed many souls. Everyone needs a miracle. Our world needs healing, hope and help.

While you are praying for a miracle don’t forget that you are one too. You are a blessing to our world. Don’t magnify your past and present mistakes. Don’t amplify the voice of your pains. You are a perfect portrait of God. You are pregnant with possibilities. How I wish we all can happen for good to ourselves.

Life is not all about highs and lows, there is a point in between the darkest night and the brightest day where you have to create radiant realities. You have all it takes to shift atmospheres. Don’t feel worthless or hopeless. Your struggles are a sign that there is something significant about your life.

Shine your light in the tunnel, don’t wait till you get to the end. Use the key of gratitude to unlock the limitless possibilities within you. Focus on the blessings around you, the beauty within you and the brighter days ahead of you. Your darkest valley is not a place of residence but a point of reference. Keep being the hero of your story.

Ask God for grace to grow stronger while you go through the flood and flames of life. Cry for help if you have to. Retreat if you need to. Seek a professional assistant if you have to. Find every positive possible way to get up and get better.

You may feel buried under the weight of pains and pressure but your life won’t end like this. See yourself as a seed planted to die, decay and flourish eventually. The painful process you are going through does not nullify the beautiful product you will ultimately produce. Cultivate yourself with positive thoughts, right actions and good relationships. Pray fervently and trust God to see you through. You are a winner, enforce your victory. Spread love and light in every little way you can.

Have an amazing day my friends. I love you all. ❤❤❤

Portrait of Possibilities – A Poem

I choose to be a sacred sanctuary.
It does not matter
whether I am a cottage in a slum,
or a castle with a luxury lawn.
Whatever I am,
I will welcome divinity into myself
with arms open wide.
I want heaven’s glow to be evident,
as a signal glimpse of the bliss within me.

If my roof is thatched,
let it be the shadow of the Almighty.
If my tank is half full,
let its content be the water of life.
If all I have left is five loaves of bread,
let it be blessed by Jireh.
I want to hungry, thirsty and desperate
for more of God’s love, light and life.

I want to shine with shalom
when my heart quakes with cares
or when the rod of life breaks my passion
that I silently crash
into a million broken pieces.
A million messy pieces, a million scars
proclaiming God’s mercies
every morning.

I want to lie down in green pastures,
and make God’s promises the pillows
on which I lay my hurting head.
When my thoughts are nothing
but a colourful crown of thorns
that fuels grief and starves my faith,
I will hold them with hope,
and nurture them with truth,
until they evolve into a wreath –
a diadem of grace around my head.

I will not plunge into the pool of self-pity,
panic and pressure.
With joy, I will draw water from the well
of hope and salvation.
Whether the day is dark
or the twilight stars sleep in despair.
God is in this temple, heaven is here.
there is light in tunnels and dark alleys,
there is joy in the valley of shadows.

I am a portrait of possibilities,
I am here to happen, and made to manifest.
I am salt, I am lustrous light,
I am God’s sanctuary.
I am enough.

Tapestry of Testimonials #1

Self-esteem, also known as self-worth, is the impression people have of themselves. The feeling of being valuable and liked. Your self-esteem involves a variety of notions about yourself, such as your appearance, your emotions and how you measure your achievements or failures.

Over the years, I have had seasons when I doubted my worth. Days when I feel unloved and unworthy of life. In some of these moments, by divine providence, some of my friends send nice notes to me in the form of testimonials, quotes, poems or compliments. This helps me to connect to my core and also realise that I am not as worthless as I feel in my darkest hours.

I will be sharing some of these testimonials in my new blog series ‘Tapestry of Testimonials’. Enjoy these beautiful pieces written by my amazing sister and friend from the Philippines, Alerma Grace. We met on Yourquote.in and grew to become best friend’s. I call her my Sweet Sister Bear (SSB)

How do you deal with low self-esteem? Do you think validation from others helps to boost self-esteem?

I Am Enough

I was sauntering,
desperately searching for perfection,
I got broken while passionately trying
to fix this perpetual puzzle.
Who said there is a missing piece?
Who said I need some unravelling?
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me.

Struggling to prove my worth,
I became blind to my uniqueness.
Some said a facelift is all I needed
to finally find and deploy my gift.
Who said I am broken beyond fixing?
Who said I need to be flawless?
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me

Craving for validation,
I became a slave to conditional love
starved of authentic attention
till I became bereft of inner bliss.
Now I filter people’s opinion about me
with the lens of pure love and light.
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me.

With the stars I now see within me
never would I be defined by my scars.
I am weak but not worthless,
even if I’m bleeding, I’m still a blessing.
With wisdom, I will fix the fixable,
I won’t mess it all to mend some.
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me.

Addicted To Love and Light – A Poem

My smile is lit, but you’re far away
How can you relish this fragrant face?
My soul is sweet, it keeps pain at bay
Don’t you crave this priceless place?

The night is dark, the stars are singing,
listen to the symphony of light,
At dawn, my soul will still be clinging
to the peak of infinite delight.

Let me be your ocean and oasis,
plunge your pains and arise with grace.
Sweet cascades of calmness in crisis
await you in my warm embrace.

Drop all the distress life once inflicted,
pick this new page, pen a sweet story.
To my love and light be addicted,
storm this stage with sounds of victory.
