Goodbye – 9th Anniversary Poem

Hello, my amazing WordPress family.

I hope it’s not too late to wish you all a happy new year. I’ve missed you all.

Yay! It’s my 9th blogversary on WordPress and I must say it has been an enriching and exceptional experience sharing my thoughts and life experiences with you all.

To celebrate this feat, I’ll share a piece I wrote this morning with you all. It’s a poem of hope and healing that sprung up in my soul after I had gone through three weeks of emotional pain.

Goodbye yesterday, goodbye yesteryear.
Goodbye to failure, frustration and fear.
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new season.
I’ve climbed God’s hills, it’s a new horizon.

Goodbye guilt, goodbye gloom.
Goodbye darkness, death and doom.
Hello hope and healing, I am free again.
Christ has saved me from the pit of pain.

Goodbye tension, goodbye trauma.
Goodbye deep depression and drama.
Hello, faith and freedom – my new companions.
I am no longer a slave to negative opinions.

Goodbye affliction, goodbye addictions.
Goodbye reproach, regret and restrictions.
Hello, redemption, I have the victory.
I am saved from every mess and misery.

Goodbye hardship, goodbye hostility.
Goodbye suffering, sorrow and scarcity.
Hello harvest, there’s no more hindrance.
I am swimming in sweetness and superabundance.

Goodbye dismay, goodbye disappointment.
Goodbye rage, wrath and resentment.
Hello, favour, I’m loved and limitless.
I am graced with glory and greatness.

Goodbye, hurts, goodbye haunting shadows.
Goodbye weariness and worry windows.
Jesus’ joy and peace now flow in my soul.
Christ has transformed and made me whole.

Goodbye to the broke and broken me.
Goodbye to the voiceless version of me.
Hello, joy, the blessings are abounding.
I’m a champion, my victory is resounding.

5 Keys To Unlock 2022 Possibilities

Every season comes with lessons and blessings. Only those who have the right keys can unlock the blessings and understand the lessons.

Join me to explore the 5 keys to unlock the possibilities of 2022.

1. Positive Imagination.
Winning begins within. A conquered mind cannot produce a triumphant life. If your mind can conceive a thing, and your heart can believe it, then you can achieve it. Train and transform your mind to command victory.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 4:23 NIV

2. Profitable association.
If your closest friends are winners, you will constantly inspired and empowered to win. Show me your friends and I will show you your fortune. Invest in robust and resourceful relationships.

Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
Proverbs 13:20 NIV

3. Positive actions.
Being kind to others helps you to win the heart of God and men. Generosity is one of the keys to a fruitful and filling life. The hallmark of prosperity is generosity.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16 NIV

4. Valuable information.
The kind of information you are exposed to will either empower you to win and enslave you. When you know better, you become better and do better. Deeper knowledge unlocks higher dimensions of success.

Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.
Proverbs 4:5 NIV

5. Your Confession.
Watch your words, they shape your world. Words build. Words destroy. Words transform. Words deform. The wonders of the world are created by words. The words you deploy will determine the wonders you will enjoy.

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 NIV.

This is the year you must intentionally study the Word of God, stay in the word, stand on the word, speak the word, and spread the word.

Tell Your Tough Tales – A Poem

You are not a survivor but a victor,
dare to approve and applaud yourself,
amplify your wins and not your woes.
Tell your tough tales with grit and grace…
see your scars as signatures of victory.
Life got you bent, broken and buried,
yet you thrived through hell and high water,
and turned graves into golden gardens.
You are not a survivor but a victor,
bask in your victory, own your story.

The Skyscraper of Success – A Poem

Behind every grand glory,
I see a million simple stories…
A tale of trials and tears
gathered through the years.
So, before you covet the rainbow,
be sure you can snug the storm.

Note that this mobile monument
was not built with stones and cement.
This skyscraper of success
was built with bricks of blunders;
every masterpiece you see in this
castle was made with messy pieces.

I went through hell and high waters
before I got to this garden that glitters.
I stand tall among stars because
I refuse to squat with my scars.
I didn’t become a champion by chance,
I chose to get cheered on by challenges.

This sweet smile on my face is nothing
but a signature of strength and hope.
I sometimes weep secretly
seeking the courage to cope.
So, before you covet this glory,
be willing to live this story.

Glance through the sour blunders
that birthed this sweet wonder.
From pain to pain, I keep moving.
From fault to fault, I keep improving.
I got this robust reward partly
because I kept failing forward.

I Am Enough

I was sauntering,
desperately searching for perfection,
I got broken while passionately trying
to fix this perpetual puzzle.
Who said there is a missing piece?
Who said I need some unravelling?
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me.

Struggling to prove my worth,
I became blind to my uniqueness.
Some said a facelift is all I needed
to finally find and deploy my gift.
Who said I am broken beyond fixing?
Who said I need to be flawless?
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me

Craving for validation,
I became a slave to conditional love
starved of authentic attention
till I became bereft of inner bliss.
Now I filter people’s opinion about me
with the lens of pure love and light.
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me.

With the stars I now see within me
never would I be defined by my scars.
I am weak but not worthless,
even if I’m bleeding, I’m still a blessing.
With wisdom, I will fix the fixable,
I won’t mess it all to mend some.
I wish I had known that I am enough
and everything I crave is within me.

The Uniqueness of You – A Poem

You are not a biological accident,
there’s a purpose for your existence.
None of us is a superficial experiment,
everything about us brews excellence.

More than a bag of flesh, blood and bones,
there is a drop of divinity in your heart.
Never to be traded like gemstones,
you are God’s priceless work of art.

The true reflection of your beauty
is the smile you put on someone’s face.
The true measure of your prosperity
is how you make the world a better place.

You’re here to happen, don’t just occupy space,
dare to spread love in all spheres…
Your life is garnished with great grace,
use your allure to shift atmospheres.

You are designed to demystify divinity,
live humbly and make God proud.
You are made to amplify humanity,
live cheerfully and love out loud.

Death is not life’s greatest tragedy,
but a life lived with its true purpose.
To feature in life’s greatest tragicomedy
is to live pursuing another man’s purpose.

No one is better or worse than you,
your deftness and defects divinely align.
Appreciate the uniqueness of you,
everything about you is God’s design.

Trading Tears and Facing Fears

When our hearts are filled with tears
and our spirits stifled with guilt and fears.
God is always there to see us through;
His peace and love are timeless and true.

When bright days get dark and deary
and we seem to get weak and weary;
God is always ready to see us through,
His grace and light are limitless and true.

When sin and sorrow sting our souls,
and blunders make us blind to our goals.
God is always there to see us through;
His mercies are matchless and true.

When it’s hard to stand and understand
why life sometimes feels like quicksand
God is always there to see us through,
His strength in us priceless and true.

Trade your tears and face your fears
God loves, sees, knows and hears…
Go borrow vessels, not a few
God’s provision is matchless and true

Arise and look within, God lives in you,
Even if You can’t feel it, He stands by you.
No matter what like takes you through,
God’s promises are timely and true.

Hey friends, thank you for reading this. I’ve been feeling low for quite some time now, I found strength in the promises of God and His power to perform every promise.

What do you draw strength from whenever you feel lost, limited and lonely?
