Heartily Single Happily Married

I was having an online conversation with a beautiful young lady some days ago, she aired her views on marriage and relationships. Then she made a statement commonly expressed by some single ladies in this part of the world “marriage is not an achievement”. It was a good opportunity for me to give her some lectures on life and love.

When a person exerts a lot of physical, mental and emotional effort to make something work, it would be wrong for anyone to say what the person has done is not an achievement.

Don’t be misled, marriage is an achievement especially when two people work together to build a lovely, peaceful and beautiful family.
If an achievement is a thing done successfully with effort, skill, or strength, then a working/growing marriage is an achievement.

A great union is a medal of honour. In a world where families are failing, children are derailing and vices are prevailing, good relationships and godly homes are the antidotes to many of the troubles in our world. Family is the factory where world peace and prosperity are produced, packaged and dispensed.

However, singleness is also a great achievement. If you are single, sensible, self-reliant, serving God and humanity and not sleeping around, it’s not wrong to say that you are an achiever.

As a Christian, I believe strongly that singleness is not just status or season of life, it’s a symbol of emotional strength and social stability. Not everyone will get married – a bitter truth people fail to taste and digest. Singleness and marriage are major life choices.

Good or bad marriages don’t just happen, they are products or manners, mindsets and motives. Nothing works by itself. If anything is working, something or someone is making is work.

It takes a lot of dedication and discipline to be heartily single, it takes a lot of sacrifices and compromises to be happily married too. The prevalent high rate of divorce has proven that marriage does not guarantee happiness or fulfilment. Singleness does not confer loneliness or sadness on anyone. What makes marriage and singleness work lies in every individual.

Are you happily married or heartily single? I’d love to know your story. Share your thoughts in the comment section. Thank you for reading.

You are loved. ❤❤❤❤

Declaration of Victory Day 52

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful and I will make nations of thee and kings shall come out of thee. Genesis 17:6 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. John 15:8 Declare this I am exceedingly fruitful,I bear nations and kings come forth […]

The Life of My Love

‘Amazing Grace’ is the sweetest sound
I have ever heard, next to this is your
voice gently saying “I love you”
while I’m wrapped in your warm embrace.
Today, I want to reassure you
that I love you more.
I love you more than the sweetest
pleasures and the deepest pains of life.
I love you more than the brightest days
and darkest nights we’ll ever see.

You may have been called some sweet and
beautiful names by some deceptive
and unserious lovers but let me reassure you
that you are not my sunshine because
you do not rise in the morning and set at night.
You are not the love of my life
but the life of my love because you are
love expressed in body, soul and spirit.
Your brilliance reminds me of the rainbow

a symbol of grace and heaven’s glow,
you flaunt God’s colour and unravel
His flavour everywhere you go.
Everytime I look into your eyes, I catch
a glimpse of paradise,
now I know that heaven is not a
mysterious place beyond the skies,
but somewhere deep within our hearts,
a place where God rules and reigns.
You are bred from royal and radiant bloodlines
a blend of beauty and bliss far beyond
skylines.

This love that we share is a bed of roses,
I will forever relish its fragrance
and harness the thorns it throws at us.
I need you to understand that the symphony
of your spirit affirms the rhythms of my soul.
Every note, every bar, and every beat
make a matchless melody,
a rhapsody of eternal love, pure and true.
A love made in heaven, assembled on earth and built for eternity.
This is not another love letter but a timely reminder
that you are designed to be desired
and created to be craved.
You are God’s work of art that I love the most.
A masterpiece modelled by the Father, Son and Holy Ghost

Happy Valentine’s Day my friends. Just a quick reminder that whether you are someone’s one and only, or you feel lost and lonely. You are loved by the One who is Love, God. Have fun and don’t lose faith. ❤❤❤How are you doing today?

Love, Lines and Landmarks

I have never been this emotional while writing a piece. It’s been 7 years of sweet moments and memories as a blogger. Yaaaaay! It’s also my first time of making a special post to celebrate the sweet souls who make WordPress a sanctuary of sort for me.

I have shared how rough and tough 2020 was for me; how I was hopeless, helpless and homeless for months, but I must say that the amazing family and friends I met here made me sail through that stormy season without drowning in depression.

During my downtime, I read a lot of inspiring and uplifting pieces that made me discover the beauty and blessings of adversity. It’s comforting to know that someone is here to read my teardrops in word.

I started 2020 with over 100 followers but now, my WordPress family has gotten bigger and stronger.

With every notification of a new follower I get, I see an amazing being with distinct skills, expertise, experiences, ideas and viewpoints, having something valuable to lend and learn. This is not about having stats and figures to flaunt, but a family to do life with.

I started blogging to share my heart and art with others, to inspire and encourage them. I never knew that it’s going to be a safe space that will give me solace, succour and strength someday.

I’m grateful to you all for being a part of my blogging journey so far, especially those who gave me their shoulder to lean on. I’m grateful for every single like, comment, share and reblog. I feel encouraged by your engagements with my blog and every single post.

This platform has helped me to achieve the following:

Be a blessing to people through written and spoken words.

Connect with fantastic people from different countries and co-write articles with great minds.

Be a better writer, content creator and communicator.

Share of the wisdom, wonders and wealth of fellow bloggers through their contents.

Thank you all once again for your engagements and encouragement. As my way of celebrating you all, I am giving out a free copy of my new book Whispers of Winners (Daily Edition) to all my friends. Download it here.

Feel free to share your thoughts about my blog in the comment sections. Cheers to many more love, lines and landmarks. Thank you.

From Grave to Garden – My 2020 Story

I thought I was going to die after losing all my savings to a fraudster on the 18th of September, 2020. It seems everyone learnt something the hard way this year.

After this incident, I became broken, bitter, hopeless, and homeless. It was the beginning of a draining and devastating wilderness journey. It felt as if all the forces of life was against me. I couldn’t feel myself for weeks.

I have always believed that rock bottom is a place of recovery and discovery, but I must confess that it’s hard to focus when one is going through the flood and flames of life. I began to look for ways to get justice.

I disconnected myself from almost everyone; I couldn’t bear the pain of explaining how stupid I was to my friends. The most devastating part of it was that, eighty percent of those I shared my pain with couldn’t help, some even acted like they don’t care.

It was then that God caught my attention and started speaking to me. The most assuring word He gave me was, “You were not defrauded; you were delivered.”
Well, I had no other option than to trust the only One who never left me in that stormy season.

My hope of getting justice quickly was dashed as the court where the case was to be heard got burnt during the EndSars protest in Nigeria. I became more devastated and had to take leave from work.

After a while, I started studying the Bible more and spent more time in prayers. Then I began to discover the power of faith backed up with the spoken word. I was inspired to start speaking ‘restoration with compensation’ into existence. After a while, I got approached by the superior of the agent that defrauded me. They decided to have an out-of-court settlement.

On the 18th of December, 2020, exactly three months after I was defrauded, I got my money back. God is faithful, and yes, He hears the whispers of winners!
I know a lot of people may have suffered some form of loss/defeat, and trusting God for recovery and victory.

After the traumatic experience, I was inspired to write a book of daily declaration of victory, Whispers of Winners (Daily edition). This book is inspired by God, and I believe that it will help every user to maximize the power of the spoken word. It is not just a compilation of positive declarations, but a faith-booster for unlimited victory.

Words are powerful tools for complete and permanent victory. However, words are powerless without faith! Faith gives our words wings to fly.

Faith brings confirmations out of affirmations
Faith brings precious possessions out of confessions
Faith helps us to take delivery of our declarations
Faith brings evidence out of expectations
Faith is the magnet of supernatural manifestation.

As you use this book, speak with faith in your heart and pay attention to the divine signals and triggers, God will give you specific instructions, write them down and take prompt action. I trust that this book will be your visa to unending victory in Jesus name.

Follow Whispers of Winners on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, as my team will be sharing daily affirmations every day. Also, special monthly declarations will be live on Anchor Fm.

Happy new year to you all. Thank you for being a great part of my blog this year. Kindly share my new book with your friends. Thank you.

Half-full or Half-empty

2020 started with high hopes and beautiful dreams, we all couldn’t wait to achieve our Vision2020.

Then Covid came, and it crushed the beautiful plans and projections of many folks. Widespread protest shootings and lootings disrupted many dreams; not forgetting the total lockdown and how it locked down many businesses.

This year has been different strokes for different folks but, no matter what life has thrown at you, there is a reason to be grateful for life.

Stop swimming in sorrow when happiness is free; pay attention to the blessings within you, the beauty around you and the brighter days ahead of you.

Give thanks for the good days, when smiles and sweetness flood your soul.
When great testimonies and songs of praises fill your mouth.

Give thanks for the hard days, when troubles and trials tear your heart apart. When it’s hard to wake up and you feel like giving up the fight.

Give thanks for friends and family, for fathers, mothers, sons and daughters,  everyone that reminds you that love is all that matters.

Give thanks for foes and frienemies, those who hate and hurt you for known and unknown reasons; because the stones they throw at you are your stepping stones to greater heights.

Give thanks for daily benefits, for weekly bonuses and monthly incomes. Be grateful for the businesses and career that put food on your table.

Give thanks for the heartbreaking emails and the painful loses. Be grateful for the pay cut and unpaid debts; knowing that every closed door is a redirection to bigger and better possibilities.

Give thanks for the raindrops falling from the skies, and for the teardrops falling from your eyes. Knowing that your secret storms and the fiery furnace of life are blessings in disguise.

Give thanks for every weakness and brokenness that makes you run to God for help, and for every fear and frustration that makes you fall on your knees to pray.

Give thanks, for God, is your strength and your salvation, the One who gives you rest and restoration, Be grateful for His redemption and revelation, and how He delivered your soul from destruction.

Give thanks, that despite the pandemic and the pain ravaging our world, God has been your sanitizer. His blood is the greatest vaccine that killed every virus on the cross of Calvary.

Give thanks for everything that came against you to steal your joy and peace, for they remind you that God is the prince of peace.

Give thanks for the valley of the shadow of death, and for the tunnels that remind you that God is with you, as a mighty and merciful One who will never leave nor forsake you.

Give thanks, for all things bright and beautiful, and for everything that made you sad and sorrowful, knowing fully well,  that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord, who are called according to His purpose.

Give thanks, because you still have greater victories to win, bigger territories to take, better stories to write and more mountains to conquer. I know the journey is tough and you are thirsty, but whether your cup is half-full or half-empty, be grateful that you cup that’s not empty. Drink what you have and be joyful.

Give thanks to the Lord, always, and again I say, give thanks.
Thank you.

Hey friends, I believe that you’ve been inspired to be grateful. Share three things you are grateful for in the comment section. Thank you for reading.

Values and Vices – A Poem

One of the most expensive
veils in the world is ignorance.

One of the most destructive
vices in the world is arrogance.

One of the most powerful
values in the world is tolerance.

One of the most beautiful
virtues in the world is repentance.

A Slice of Paradise – Poem

Your heart is a slice of paradise,
of course, I see stars in your eyes.
Your soul is a garden of grace,
it’s obvious in your warm embrace.
You’re a blend of bloom and bliss
a flawless flower I’ll forever kiss.
Help me unravel this contradiction,
stop inhabiting my imagination.

Moments and Memories

Do not cry over the past, it has gone;
Forge ahead, the deed has been done.

Worry not over the future, God holds it;
let not present pains make you quit.

Today’s skies are bright and beautiful,
maximise it to make your world wonderful.

Worthless is the rainfall of yesterdays,
you cannot use its sunshine to make hays.

The future is but a mansion of mysteries,
worth the wishes but not your worries.

Yesterday is a hall of hopes and history,
it is gone, only to be told as a story.

All you have is this moment, be happy,
smile away your sorrows, make it snappy!

Today will never come again my dear,
fill your heart with faith, shun fear.

Each moment in life turns to memories,
use this moment to leave great legacies.
