Before I give up

So I woke up today feeling emotionally down. Partly because I am overwhelmed by a divine assignment and a backlog of family issues I had to pay attention to for a month and a half.

I was thinking of giving up on the assignment because I feel unable to shoulder it alone since the person I called my teammate decided to go AWOL. Coupled with the flu I battled all through the weekend.

To be honest, I have never felt like this since 2020. While I was still struggling to hold on to the last strand of hope I had. One of my pen pals who I met online 12 years ago send me a message that she was writing something for me. I didn’t seriously until I went through her WhatsApp status. She gave me an overdose of hope with her pure sentiments. Below are screenshots of her WhatsApp Status updates.

I guess we will have part two. Thank you for reading. I love you all. Please keep me in prayers.

Why Me? — A Poem

Every human being will at one point or the other experience life’s uncertainties, unfulfilled promises, unpleasant situations, unfair treatments and undeserved pains.

The world is wired to give us roses with thorns, sunshine and rain, and a fair share of losses and gains. We must learn to find the blessings and lessons in every season of life.

We should not be quick to accuse God when bad things happen and then forget to acknowledge Him when we experience beautiful things. I hope this poem speaks to your soul.

If you have to ask “Why me?”
When it seems God can’t hear your plea,
When secret storms won’t let you be,
And haunting shadows are all you see.

When your jar of joy runs dry
And no one seems to hear your cry.
When funds are low and debts are high,
And you can only look down and sigh.

When the skies pour fiery raindrops,
And your field is full of dying crops.
When everything you hold dear flops
And your eyes brew bitter teardrops.

When you lay hopeless on a cold bed,
And it’s hard to see what lies ahead.
When you’ve forgotten what God said,
And needless noises fill your head.

When you seem not to have a lifeline,
And your noble dreams do not align.
When the twilight stars refuse to shine
And you are left without a positive sign…

Then, when God finally comes through,
When His countenance shines on you,
And He prepares a table before you,
will you be bold to ask “Why me” too?

Your pain has a purpose, my friend,
even if it’s hard for you to comprehend.
Trust the process, never condescend,
God is merciful and faithful to the end.

A Spectacular Spec

My name is Adeleke. I am a conquering crown, recherché royalty, matchless, masterpiece, and jaw-dropping gem in God’s treasure chest. I am designed to dominate, nourished with nobility, garnished with grace and lavished with infinite love.

God’s Love looks good on me, it’s beyond beautiful — bodacious, blameless and breathtaking.

I am an embodiment of marvellous light, glowing at the intensity of everything that dares to outshine a billion galaxies.

I am a perfect medley of divinity and humanity. Robed with eternal beauty and splendour. Everything about me exudes eternal excellence.

I come from a sacred bloodline, I am bred from an ancestry of self-healers, mountain movers and territory takers. My body is holy ground and my soul, heaven on earth.

I am a spectacular spec. Genotype: divinity. Blood type: royalty.

Different Sounds One Symphony

The human body comes in different colours but the human soul is colourless, just different flavours of divinity from the Source of life — many graces, one God. We are different verses in one universe.

The world will be distasteful without diversity, and no doubt our world will be in disarray when there is disunity. Imagine a world where everyone has the same talent and trait — no vibe, no versatility, just vibrant souls stuck in a void structure.

We are different spirits vibrating at different frequencies of faith and freedom — configured to be creative, made to manifest limitless possibilities.

Diversity is designed to create room for compassion and creativity. Irrespective of our tongues and tribes, we are created to communicate compassion fluently. Love is our universal language. We all are unique sounds in God’s symphony.

God is very the master builder. Everything He made is a masterpiece. Every creation, every colour and every culture are breathtaking beadworks of His multifaceted glories.

No one is inferior or superior to the other, each one of us is an epitome of eternal excellence — lavished with love, garnished with grace and nurtured with nobility.

God is too beautiful to be expressed in one colour. We all are a part of this divine edifice. Jaw-dropping jewels in a terrific treasure chest. Sparkling stars in a golden galaxy — all shades of love and light.

We all are made in His indelible and ineffable image. We are streams of eternal substance.

“I thank you, High God — You’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvellously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation!”
Psalm 139: 14 MSG

The Frequency of Faith

When last did you read or listen to a ‘breaking news’ that broke your heart? Let me guess, some minutes ago, right?
I know that times seem to have changed without giving us a heads up, and our world is fast becoming somewhat strange. But maybe we all need to tune to a better broadcasting station void of negative news and repulsive reports.

In our world today, as nations fight against nations, economic instability seems to be at war with emotional stability. As funds are dropping, faith seems to be declining too. As debts are increasing, despair seems to be rising too. Wars and rumours of war are raging against global and personal peace.

But in all these, we all must strive to stay sane, safe and strong – a victory we must all win against all horrible happenings and negative news.
We must never lose heart. We must never settle for less. We must never settle for the lies of the devil.

In every trial and tribulation, the truth still holds, “we are more than conquerors” Romans 8: 37.
God has better broadcasting stations. It’s time to tune in to divine frequencies. It’s time to get back on the ‘Track of Truth’, and take back our peace. We must not let situations shut us out of the frequency of faith, hope and joy. We all need help. We all need hope and, no doubt, our world needs healing.

I would have loved to write another epic epistle to you but I would like you to declare this affirmation over yourself. Say this affirmation.

I am constantly connected to the frequency of faith, favour and freedom in Christ.
I shut down the frequency of fear, failure and frustration.
I only hear sounds of peace, hope and overflowing joy.
I shut down the waves of worry, weakness and weariness.
The troubles and trials of life will not tear my soul apart.
I rise above past pains and the pressures of life.
I dwell daily in love, light and limitless possibilities.
My jar of joy will not run dry.
My pool of peace flows freely always.
The storms and struggles of life will not keep me stuck in the pit of pain.
I rise above the rage of rejection and resentment.
I have an Anchor who keeps my soul steadfast.
God is the author and anchor of my life.
I am forgiven, favoured and fortified.
I am free to love, laugh and live my best life, no matter what is going on around me.
I am free indeed.

Epic Epistle 001

Hey buddy, have you gotten any love letters lately or I should just mind my business? Well, I am glad to introduce you to my new Epic Epistle series. Over the years, I have learned to speak life over myself, after I was healed of depression. This was what birthed my book titled Whispers of Winners.

However, a lot has happened to me in recent times and I took solace in writing love letters to myself. I was inspired and led by God to share some of these letters with you.

These letters are birthed from the place of deep meditation and tagged Epic Epistles. I strongly believe that you will be richly blessed and inspired to live, love and laugh by these letters as I trust God to bring healing and hope to every heart through these Epic Epistles. The first epistle I will be sharing with you is titled “Legendary Love”

You are worthy of legendary love.
The kind of love that heals you completely.
Love, like the balm flowing from God’s palms.
The kind of love that soothes your soul.
Love, like the sounds of sacred psalms.
The kind of love that fuels your faith.
Enjoy this love, this blend of holy fragrance and fire.

I encourage you today to bask in the legendary love of God.

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3

Prayer: If you feel lost and lonely today, I pray that the legendary love of God will find expression in your life in Jesus name. This love will birth healing an d hope for you in all areas on your life in Jesus name. Don’t settle for a life of bitterness and hopelessness. There is hope for you in the love of God. Cheers.

You Deserve Legendary Love

You are worthy of legendary love
the kind of love that heals you completely
love, like the balm flowing from God’s palms
the kind of love that soothes your soul
love like the rhythms of sacred psalms
the kind of love that drains your pains.

You are worthy of limitless love
the kind of love that fills you up genuinely
love like an ever-flowing fountain
the kind of love that empowers you to excel
love so full, free and fathomless
the kind of love that leaves sages speechless.

You are worthy of luminous love,
the kind of love that ignites you intentionally
love so fresh like well-watered gardens
the kind of love that spurs you to sparkle
love glowing like golden galaxies
the kind of love that makes stars stand and stare.
